Arrest of 25-year old Frenchman in the Ukrainian-Polish border carrying weapons and explosives
A Frenchman who allegedly was in possession of weapons and explosives for a planned terror attack in France, was arrested in the Ukrainian-Polish border in late May, said today the Ukrainian border.
The 25 year old was detained by Ukrainian border guards, carrying in his vehicle, an arsenal of weapons and explosives, including rocket launchers, and automatic Kalashnikov guns, transmits the French television channel M6.
This arrest, confirmed the spokesperson of border guards Ukrainians, Oleg Slompontian, while the representative of the Ukrainian secret service (SBU) declined to comment.
The man is being detained in Ukraine pending the examination request possible extradition to Paris, was planning a terrorist attack in France, reports the M6.
The French Ministry of the Interior announced that the case was handled judicial and border police of Poland, declined to comment.
European security authorities are on standby after the bloody attacks of last November in Paris, which killed 130 people, and the attacks to the airport and metro in Brussels in March, resulting in the death of 32 people.
