France will receive 400 refugees a month from Greece
France plans to receive 400 refugees a month from Greece under the European Union project for the distribution of asylum seekers, Interior Minister Bernard Kaznev announced today, significantly increasing their number.
The announcement came while Prime Minister Manuel Vals expected in Athens today to reassure that Paris will meet its commitments to take additional 32,000 asylum seekers in the next two years.
Nearly 100 additional refugees arrived this week from Greece and Italy, and 253 others are expected next week from Greece says Kaznev in its communication.
The EU plan for the distribution of refugees agreed last September, but its implementation was slow.
