USA: The departure Cruz opens the way for Trump
The MP Ted Cruz said his resignation from the race for the nomination of the Republican party for the American presidency late yesterday, while the count had not completed the qualifying Indiana.
With his wife Heidi beside him, Cruz, 45, announced his resignation saying that previously had indicated it will continue as long as there was a viable path to the nomination, but this is no longer the case.
"Together we left all the ground in Indiana," he told the audience of supporters. "We gave our best. But voters chose another path, so with a heavy heart but with boundless optimism for the country's long-term future, we suspend our campaign.
