Thousands of Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter in Jerusalem's Old City
Thousands of Orthodox Christians from many countries, such as Egypt and Eastern Europe, marched today in the last steps of Jesus, carrying crosses of all sizes, honoring a devout Good Friday Orthodoxy.
Believers crossed the Old City of Jerusalem following the Way of Martyrdom and stopping at stations in mikios to pray.
The Israeli authorities have developed significant security forces in the Old City, which is located in East Jerusalem, the Palestinian side has been annexed by Israel.
